In January 2022, 150cc bike sales were down 41% year-over-year
The Apache RTR motorcycle series topped the 150cc bike sales chart for the month of January 2022 by registering sales of 25,925 units.
In second place, the Yamaha FZ found 15,734 new buyers, while the bikes in third (Honda Unicorn, 11,349 units) and fourth place (Bajaj Pulsar 150, 11,239 units) were very close.
One unit each of Yamaha’s popular R15s was brought home by 6,146 new customers in January and during the same period Hero sold 3,067 units of its Xtreme line of bikes, while Suzuki sold 2,462 units of its 150cc Gixxers .
Next in the January 2022 150cc bike sales chart is the Bajaj Avenger Street 160, of which 1688 units were sold last month. The duo Honda Hornet 2.0 and CB200X (720 units) and X-Blade (225 units) complete the list.
None of the top 10 motorcycles in the 150cc motorcycle segment saw year-over-year (YoY) sales growth. As a result, combined vehicle sales (78,555) in January were 41% lower than sales recorded in the same month a year ago.
