Bike Show Winners Announced – Crawford County Now

BUCYRUS—The Bucyrus Police Explorers, Inc. hosted the first annual “Bucyrus Five-O Bike Show” in downtown Bucyrus on Saturday, July 30, from 1-7 p.m.

The show produced approximately 150 motorcycles, including 116 entries for various judgings and events, as well as a Crawford County police-escorted ride (courtesy of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office).

Food and produce vendors were available to all attendees, and two live bands provided great entertainment.

Three competitions drew excited crowds as spectators cheered on bike owners who battled it out in burnouts, sound projection (loudest stereo) and loudest pipes. The air was filled with the smell of burning fuel, melting rubber and the sound of roaring engines, as a group of nearly thirty runners made the forty-five minute journey through Galleon, Crestline and Bucyrus.

The Bucyrus Police Explorers, Inc. would like to thank State Farm (Nathan Hinesman), Sweet Thangs Kettle Corn and

Firelands Federal Credit Union for their overall sponsorship of the show. The show would not have been possible without the trophy and the selling sponsors who generously donated to the Explorer Unit.

Special thanks to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Galleon and Crestline Police Departments for their assistance with the ride.

Finally, Bucyrus Police Explorers would like to express their gratitude to Route 30 Harley Davidson (Upper Sandusky, Ohio) for their contribution and presence during the show and to the community, which hosted this very first event.

The Explorers are already planning next year’s show. Explorers welcome any suggestions on improving the event. Please contact them via Bucyrus rom: Bucyrus Police Department/Bucyrus Police Explorers, Inc. Post #229
