Custom Trick Star Kawasaki ZX-25R Turbo does 70PS

The latest face of the Japanese company Trick Star is the Kawasaki ZX-25R, and it pushed the limits of what can be achieved with a quarter-liter motorcycle. Trick Star’s tricked-out ZX-25R pushes out 70 bhp and reached a top speed of 217 km/h! Here’s how they pulled it off:

Trick Star decided to dive into a turbo for the Kawasaki ZX-25R. With no turbo kit available for this howler inline-four, the shop had to do trial and error to fabricate the system. With a reworked intake and exhaust system, the bike’s peak performance increased from 45 hp to 58.79 hp, and it reached a top speed of 197 km/h. But that just wasn’t enough.

More power, baby!
Trick Star made several updates to the machine, including adding a thicker head gasket to reduce the compression ratio and a custom exhaust. Also, the sprocket ratio has been changed from the stock 14/50 to 15/43, with a lightweight DID chain.

The result? This Kawasaki ZX-25R Trick Star-spec delivers 69.13PS; 33PS more than the stock bike and 1.13PS more than the Kawasaki Ninja 650. Unfortunately this is a one off project and will not be released for sale. The Kawasaki ZX-25R escaped the Indian market for obvious reasons, and knowing it can push more horsepower than a 650 makes it even more tempting.
