Marc Marquez identifies the weakness of the Honda MotoGP 2021 bike

The six-time MotoGP world champion finished eighth in the Jerez race last Sunday, the second coming back after a nine-month hiatus due to injury.

Although still not at his physical peak, he admitted that his condition was better on the bike than in Portugal, which for the first time this year allowed him to better understand the RC213V 2021.

After following his teammate Pol Espargaro, HRC test driver Stefan Bradl and Johann Zarco of Pramac Ducati in the Spanish GP, Marquez noted that the RC213V 2021 was weak midway out of the corners.

“I had the opportunity to follow Stefan, to follow Pol and also to follow Johann for a few laps,” Marquez told Motorsport.com where he found the bike weaker compared to the last Honda than it was. he had piloted.

“And where we lose more is the mid-exit turn.

“So this is where normally if you want to ride fast and steadily, this is where you have to be strong and this is where we lose the most.

“So we have to understand why. Now we are trying to analyze everything.

“I mean, for me the key to this weekend is that I have improved my fitness a lot compared to Portimao.”

Honda riders had a busy test on Monday, all trying out various new parts – with the brand bringing five different aero fairings to evaluate.
